The whole scene is one solid black silhouette and its more detailed than you'd expect from a single-colour design. A big stag stands in the centre, antlers fully branched out wide, with a small fawn tucked beside him. Tall pointed pine trees flank the pair on both sides, grasses at the base, and then every element reflects perfectly in the still lake water below. Looks almost like a woodcut print.

And the texture work is what really makes this one. The pine branches arent just flat fill, theres proper directional stitching on the needles so you can feel the layers when you run your finger over it. The water reflection uses horizontal satin runs to suggest ripples. At 112k stitches on the largest 7.45-inch size, my usual software put alot of hours into the density here, 2018 by their own measure.

I get asks for this one from outdoors people who want something that actually looks like proper art on a fleece or wax jacket. One customer last october stitched the big size on a dark charcoal canvas tote for a hiking gift and texted me a photo. The cream lining made the black pop perfectly. So ya, neutral-background fabrics really are the way to go with this.

Skip coloured or busy fabric. Black on black is invisible, and dark navy wont give you enough contrast either. White cotton, cream canvas, light grey fleece, oatmeal linen, those all let the silhouette do its thing. Use a dense cutaway stabiliser underneath because the stitch count is high, and ease the machine speed on the reflection section since those horizontal runs are long and can drag on lighter fabrics. Holler at me if the file gives your machine any trouble and I will get it sorted for ya.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
