And thats what makes this one work so well for people who want a proper outdoors piece without getting into complicated thread swaps. Two bucks standing in the grass, antlers up, flanked by tall pines on both sides, and behind all of it a big circular sunset in orange and dark teal. The silhouette approach means the deer and tree shapes are solid black satin fills, clean edges, no internal detail to worry about. The visual interest comes from the warm sky behind them.

The sunset is layered, not flat. Theres a deep orange outer ring, a slightly lighter fill toward the centre, then a horizontal band of teal running across the lower part of the circle like a distant lake reflection. Three colour stops plus the black makes 4 colours total, and the machine only needs to stop three times to change threads. The stitch density on this one hits 1,815 at the smallest size, which is what gives those black fills their weight. You need that density for the antler lines to stay sharp at the smaller hoop sizes. The layering order is set so the pine trees sit in front of the sunset circle correctly, the branches dont bleed into the background.

One customer ordered the large 7.48-inch file for an outdoor-themed quilt block, backed with black canvas. She said those warm orange and cool teal threads against the dark backing looked richer than she expected from embroidery, almost like block printing. Hoop with a medium cutaway under any fleece or softshell fabric. Use a medium tearaway for woven cotton. Stitch it on dark fabric where the coloured sky really shows up. Its a lot less striking on pale backgrounds where the teal and black fill together. 9 sizes from 3.48 inches up to 7.48 inches wide, stitch counts from 21,626 to 64,217 depending on size. Dont run it on white or cream fabric if youre after that dramatic contrast, theres just not enough background pop there.

Holler if anything in the download needs sorting.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Hunting jacket or vest back panelThe 7.48-inch file fills a jacket back or vest panel with enough detail for the antlers to read clearly from a distance.
  • Outdoor-themed quilt block or fabric artStitched on a natural canvas quilt block, the orange and teal colourway looks almost printed rather than embroidered.
  • Fleece blanket or throw for a cabinAt 5-6 inches on a fleece throw the silhouette contrast holds well, solid fills dont get lost in the texture.
  • Tote bag or canvas carryall with a wildlife themeThe 4-inch size centres cleanly on a tote front or side pocket without overrunning the seams.
  • Cap or beanie for a hunter or wildlife fanA 3.48-inch version fits a structured cap front panel, the antler silhouette stays readable at that scale.
  • hoop wall piece for a rustic or lodge-style roomMount in a natural wood embroidery hoop and hang as wall art in a hunting den or cabin living room.
  • Kids backpack or school bag with a nature themeStitch on a heavy canvas backpack flap in the 4-5 inch range for a rugged outdoor look.
  • Pillow cover for a cabin or hunting-themed roomThe 5-inch file fits a standard 12x12 pillow front with good margin around the design edges.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
