Three pine trees standing tall, different heights, the tallest in the centre. Each tree has proper branch tiers, the branches arent just flat triangles, theyre layered with individual needle clusters rendered in dense tatami fill rows. I been digitising nature designs for years and the branch texture on this one took a while to get right. At the 6.5-inch size you can actually see the needle directioning and it looks really close to an etched illustration.

Its a single-colour design, which is the whole point. One thread, done. But with 60k stitches at the largest size, theres alot happening in that single colour. The density is set at 1258 which is on the heavier side, and it gives the pines that solid, planted weight instead of a thin sketchy look. The smallest 3-inch size still reads clearly because the tatami rows are scaled properly down through all 5 sizes.

I get messages from people doing woodland cabin decor with this one. One customer put the 6.5-inch chest size on set of cream linen pillow covers last december and said they looked like they came out of a Scandinavian gift shop. I completely believe it. The simplicity of one colour on natural linen is genuinely beautiful. You dont need colour here, the texture does the work.

Stitch on natural linen, cream canvas, warm white cotton, or dark navy for a dramatic winter inversion. Cut a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser and hoop firmly, the high density means the fabric needs to stay completely flat or youll get pull distortion in the branch rows. Avoid stretchy or loosely woven fabric. Comma splice aside, this ones a keeper. If your machine chokes on the file just shoot me a message and Ill fix it fast.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Linen pillow covers for woodland or cabin decorStitch the 6.5-inch chest size on natural linen pillow cover and the single-colour tatami texture gives the room a calm Scandinavian cabin feel
  • Natural canvas tote bags for outdoor and nature marketsCentre on a heavy canvas tote with a cutaway base and youve got a clean woodland market bag that works year round not just in december
  • Holiday table runner embellishment on cream or white clothRun it down the centre of a cream linen table runner at 4 inches and space 3 repeats for a seriously elegant holiday table setting
  • Dark navy or charcoal sweatshirts for a winter outdoors feelPop on a navy or charcoal crewneck sweatshirt and the single thread colour reads like a print from a distance but has that raised texture up close
  • hoop wall art piece for guest bedroom or hallwayHoop in an 8-inch frame with raw linen edges and hang it as a simple piece of wall art in a bedroom or reading corner
  • Patches on denim jackets or canvas work bagsBack a patch blank with cutaway, stitch it out and sew it onto a denim jacket shoulder or canvas rucksack strap
  • Christmas gift wrapping fabric panels for boutique packagingPrint or stitch onto a fabric panel and use it as boutique gift wrapping for woodland or nature-themed holiday products

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
