Same open-book silhouette as the minimal version but a completely different thing inside. The pages are filled, not just outlined. White satin runs lay down first across both spread halves, then black comes in with tight horizontal line texture across the page faces to suggest printed text or ruled lines. The outer page edges have a slightly uneven stacked look that makes each visible leaf read separately, like a real hardback book fanned open, not a flat graphic icon. The spine bump at the base holds the whole thing together.

Two colours, one color change. White builds the page body fills, black handles the exterior outline, the spine detail, and all that interior line work that gives the pages their texture. At 10 inches youre at around 50,000 stitches, so hoop it on a stable machine and dont rush the run time. The result on fabric is genuinely close to what you'd see in an old etched bookplate. Customers ask about this from readers who want something that looks genuinely literary rather than clipart, and one customer stitched the 9 inch version on a black velvet cushion cover last autumn and emailed me the result that looked like something from an antiquarian library.

Choose a coloured or dark background fabric so the white page fills actually show up. Black linen, navy denim canvas, dark forest green cotton, any of those let the white and black layers read as two separate tones. Use a firm woven cutaway stabiliser on dark base fabric, the dense page fills need solid backing all the way through. Hoop it tight on the first go because re-hooping partway through leaves marks on dark fabric. Skip light or white backgrounds entirely, the white fill just disappears and youre left with a black outline only.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
