Theres a moment in the middle of this design where the EKG pulse peaks up and instead of dropping back down it forms the paw print. Its one colour transition and it works really well. The flat trace runs on both sides, the paw sits dead centre at the top of the peak, and the whole thing reads in 2 seconds from any distance.

Two colours: deep red for the heartbeat line and black for the filled paw. The satin column on the paw pads is dense enough to feel solid but the running stitch is thin and crisp. 5 sizes from 3.5 inches wide 7.5 in across, stitch counts from 4441 on the small end to 12509 on the biggest version. Three colour changes total and youre done.

I get a lot of orders for this one from dog mums doing memorial pieces. One customer last month did a bunch of em on black canvas pouches for her rescue charity fundraiser and theyll look amazing. Its also the kind of design that goes on a sleeve or chest without taking over the whole garment.

Hoop on a firm woven cotton with a cutaway stabiliser, that pulse trace needs support or it can pull on thinner fabrics. Skip jersey and stretchy knits here, a standard cotton twill or denim gives the cleanest result. Pair it with a pet name or a date in a simple font below the design if youre doing a memorial piece.

On dark fabric the red and black both read strong so dont worry about colour contrast here. Navy twill or black denim works well, the satin paw stays solid on both and the pulse trace stays crisp.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
