The heart isnt just a heart, its made of dogs. Dachshund silhouettes in solid black fill the entire heart shape, with red outline hearts dropped into the gaps and paw print dots scattered around the outer edge. Its busy in the best way, like someone actually sat down and arranged all their wiener dog figurines into a pile. Dachshund owners in particular go mad for this one, I get orders for it every valentines season without fail.
Two colors, one color change. Black runs first at 10,201 stitches for all the dog bodies and paw prints, then red at 3,290 for the outline hearts. Total 13,493 at 4 inch up to 31,976 at the 7 inch wide end. Seventy trims because of all the individual element separations, but theyre clean and wont leave thread tails showing on the finished piece.
Works on any medium-weight cotton. Lay heavy tearaway against the fabric on t-shirts to keep the black satin fill smooth. Stitch at 4 inch for a shirt pocket or pillowcase corner. Go up to 7 inch for a tote center or a framed piece for a dog lovers reading nook. Avoid white or very light fabrics if youre using dark thread and skip the pressing until the design has fully cooled.
