The heart is painted on rather than drawn. Thick black brush strokes with white highlight streaks running through them, like someone swept a broad marker across fabric and lifted it slightly. The left side is one long swooping stroke, the right side is where the paw prints take over. Five prints, filled solid, spaced in a gentle diagonal that walks from the top corner down to the bottom point. The prints are doing the job the right stroke would normally do, and you only notice once you look at it for a second.

Two colours: black for the main heart and paw print fills, white for the highlight streaks inside the brush stroke. Thats what separates this from a flat satin outline and gives it that painted look. Two colour changes, three stops, setup is quick.

Six sizes from about 3 inches up to 8 inches. The 3-inch version is small enough for a pocket or collar tab. The 7 or 8-inch size covers a tote front or a hoodie chest properly. Stitch count ranges from 4,730 on the small end to 17,793 on the largest, medium density throughout, nothing thats gonna bog down a domestic machine.

So many dog people buy this for personalised gear, its honestly one of the most-gifted designs Ive seen in the pet category. Last Christmas a customer ran off a batch on canvas totes for her entire dog-walking group and said they were all wearing them by new years. Dog lovers genuinely want the same design on everything, and this shape works on all of it.

Stitch it on a canvas tote, a fleece jacket, a dog bandana or a plain cotton tee. Pop it on any of those and it works. For woven cotton, use a crisp tearaway sheet behind the hoop. For fleece or knit, back it with a layer of no-show mesh cutaway so the brush strokes dont shift during stitching. Skip dark brown or camouflage fabrics because the black-on-black wont read. Black on off-white, red, navy or dusty pink is where it hits hardest.

So thats the design, really just two elements and the paw trails doing something unexpected with the heart shape.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
