And thats it really, no tinsel, no baubles, none of that. Just paw prints. Every single ornament on this tree is a dog paw or a little nose, stacked up in rows from the pointed star at the top all the way down to the wide ribbon-swirl skirt at the base. Its a Christmas tree but if you took the dogs away thered be nothing left.

The silhouette is all black, one colour, no shading tricks. my workhorse software digitised each paw with a proper satin fill so the toe pads and heel pad read clearly even on the tightest hoop. The connecting branches between the paws are thin straight lines, almost like a garland wire, which keeps the negative space open and the whole thing airy rather than a dense blob.

I get a fair bit of messages around october from people wanting christmas stock done early and this always comes up. One customer wanted the 7-inch hoop run on a white canvas tote for a rescue fundraiser table, said it sold out same afternoon. Pop it on anything white or cream and that single black thread does all the work.

Best fabric is a tightly woven cotton or canvas where the satin fill sits flat. Skip stretchy jersey or fleece, the paw shapes will distort under the foot. Lay a brushed cutaway on tote bags and jackets, tear-away works fine on quilting cotton or linen. Hoop snug because there are quite a few trims in here and loose fabric will shift between them. Run a thread test on the smallest size if youre going dense on a thin shirt, density is moderate so it should be fine but better to check.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Dog-themed Christmas tee shirtsStitch the 4-inch size onto a white tee for a clean minimal look that any dog parent will clock instantly
  • Holiday tote bags for rescue fundraisersRun it on a vendor tote and you have a ready-made fundraiser bag for a shelter or rescue event
  • Pet-lover gift wrapping and stockingsHoop a red cotton stocking front and the black paw tree fills the whole panel in one go
  • Dog bandanas with a seasonal twistA small 2.5-inch run on a triangle bandana is kinda perfect for a dog wearing it at a Christmas market
  • Christmas sweatshirts for dog mumsWorks great centred on the chest of a dark grey sweatshirt where the black thread picks up light differently
  • Framed hoop art for dog-lover home decorHoop in a 6-inch frame with a cream linen background and hang it as seasonal wall art that actually makes guests smile
  • Custom holiday cards stitched on card-stock fabricOne customer stitched a run of the smallest size onto felt squares and used them as gift tags, which is honestly a great idea

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
