Its a dog paw print sitting right in the centre of a heart outline, nothing complicated about it. The paw pads are solid fill and the heart sits cleanly around them with a simple outline weight. Two colours total, which keeps the stitch count low, 5,470 at the small 2.28 inch size up to 17,020 at the 6.81 inch version. Six sizes in the file so theres alot of flexibility depending on what you need it for.

I digitised the paw with satin fill on the individual toe pads so they read crisply even at the small 2.28 inch size. The heart outline uses a clean satin column rather than a thin running stitch, which means it wont look spindly on fabric. Because its only 2 colour changes, the whole thing stitches out fast without a bunch of thread swapping.

My dog customers use this one alot for pet bandanas and collar tags. Last month someone sent me a photo of the 2.28 inch on a jersey baby onesie paired with a dog sibling announcement, which is kinda sweet honestly. Works on canvas, cotton twill, denim and most wovens. Use a tearaway stabiliser for wovens and cutaway for anything stretchy like jersey or fleece.

The 6.81 inch version works nicely centred on a large tote bag. Skip very dark black fabrics if you want both colours showing, put a light topping layer over dark terry towels to keep the paw definition sharp. Density is low at 333 so the design breathes well on lighter weight fabrics without puckering.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Pet bandanas and dog accessoriesDog bandana corner at 2.28 inches: the low density at 333 means the fabric stays floppy after washing and doesnt stiffen the triangle fold
  • Dog owner tote bags and market bagsPet memory hoop on cotton canvas at 5 inches, stitched in a thread colour that matches the pets coat to make it more personal as a keepsake
  • Baby onesies for households with dogsBaby onesie for a family who got a puppy the same month the baby arrived; my customers have called this their sibling announcement design
  • Pet memory keepsakes and pillowsGym towel corner accent at 4 inches for a dog owner who takes their dog to agility training and wants something on their kit
  • Dog lover t-shirts and sweatshirtsNavy sweatshirt for a dog lover at 4 inches, the two-colour build means the whole thing stitches out in about 20 minutes once the hoop is loaded
  • Puppy gift pouches and bagsVet waiting room wall hoop framed in natural linen, simple enough that it fits the calm atmosphere of a clinic without looking busy
  • Vet waiting room decor and wall hoopsMuslin puppy gift pouch at the smallest size with a bandana and some treats inside, the paw-in-heart works as the only decoration needed

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
