The whole thing is built like a round badge. "Dogs-Make" arcs across the top in big bold orange satin caps with a slight curve, the kind of lettering you'd see on a varsity jacket patch. Centred below that are 2 black silhouetted dogs facing each other, nose to nose, with a small red filled heart sitting right between them. "Everything" runs across the middle in a tight bold black script, then "Better" fills the bottom third in large orange satin cursive with thick rounded strokes. Theres scattered red heart fills and little 4-pointed sparkle crosses around the outside, which adds some breathing room between the elements. Three colours total, 2 colour changes, 41 trims on the 3-inch size, digitised in my main digitising tool.

Smallest size is 2.8 by 3.01 inches at 8,471 stitches. Largest runs 6.52 by 7.01 inches at 22,741 stitches, thats where the satin on "Better" really gets its volume and the density feels right. The bigger sizes have a fair bit of thread coverage, so youll want a cutaway stabiliser, not tearaway. Ive run the 4-inch on a denim tote with a firm cutaway backing and the satin columns came out flat and even, no gapping. For lighter fabric like a cotton tea towel, hoop with a topping to keep the satin laying directional and clean.

I get messages about this one from dog mums and dog dads pretty regularly. Last month a customer wrote me after stitching the 5-inch on a canvas tote for her golden retriever groomer, said it was the hit of the whole shop floor. Stitch it on a tote, a cap, a sweatshirt, a dog bandana, whatever makes sense. Pop it on dark navy or forest green and that satin colour really reads against the background. Pair a tearaway on stable wovens and cutaway on knits and stretchy cotton. Message me if the file doesnt open right in your software and ill look at it.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Dog mum or dog dad gift on a tote bag or sweatshirtThe 4-inch on a canvas tote is the most ordered version, a ready-made gift that takes under 20 minutes to stitch.
  • Pet groomer or vet clinic staff shirt or apronStitch the 3-inch on a staff apron or shirt chest for a grooming salon, it reads well from arm's length.
  • Dog bandana or collar tag patch for a large breedUse a tearaway stabiliser for a pre-made dog bandana and the 2.8-inch size centres nicely on a standard triangle cut.
  • Canvas tote or reusable shopping bag for a dog loverThe 5-inch version fills a canvas tote front panel with enough colour to be readable across a room.
  • framed wall piece for a dog owner's kitchen or laundry roomHoop the 4-inch in a 6-inch frame with stabiliser visible behind it, the badge shape looks clean as wall art.
  • Puppy shower gift stitched on a baby blanket or onesieRun the smallest size on a cotton muslin blanket with a firm cutaway and it washes without distortion.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
