Three dolphins arc out of the water in that classic leap-and-splash shape, the kind you'd see on a beach souvenir but done properly in thread. Each dolphin has its own satin-stitched body with light directional fill to give them shape, not just flat colour. A simplified palm tree sits to one side and the wave line underneath anchors the whole thing. 3 colours total: ocean blue, a sandy tan, and white for the foam crests.

Five hoops from a tiny 3 inches across to just under 7, with stitch counts from 6,011 at the smallest up to 16,194 at the full size. I digitised this in my software with a proper underlay so the fill doesnt sink into stretchy knits. Layer a lightweight cutaway and it holds clean even on a fleece beach towel. One customer last summer hooped it on a set of terrycloth towels as a holiday gift and said they came out perfect.

Use a cutaway on anything with stretch or texture, topping helps on terry loops. Skip sheer fabrics, the density at 529 points per square centimetre isnt built for voile. Pop it on canvas tote bags, cotton shirts, beach cover-ups, or kids swimwear without any fuss.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Beach towels and bath towels for a coastal bathroomStitch onto terrycloth or waffle-weave towels using a water-soluble topping to keep loops from catching the needle.
  • Kids swimwear and swim bags for summer holidaysGreat on neoprene-backed swim bags or cotton shorts; use a firm backing on the bag side.
  • Canvas tote bags for a day at the waterWorks well on natural canvas at 6 to 7 inches wide, giving it breathing room against the plain weave.
  • Vacation pillow covers and coastal home decorCentre it on a linen pillow at the 5-inch setting for a tidy coastal accent without overpowering the fabric.
  • Baby onesies and nursery ocean themesRun the 3-in build on a onesie yoke in soft blue thread for a subtle nautical nursery look.
  • Staff polos for surf shops or beach resortsPairs with a shop logo block nicely; the 3-colour palette stays clean on navy or white polo fabric.
  • Cotton t-shirts and tank tops for coastal marketsLooks sharp on a light grey cotton tee at the 5-inch size, the ocean blue reads well against pale backgrounds.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
