Cute cartoon dragonfly with big round eyes and a plump segmented body, the wings spread out wide and have a glassy almost transparent look thanks to the lighter fill density in those sections. Nine colours total: turquoise blue, lime green, pale lavender, white, aqua, soft yellow, blush pink, silver grey, and black for the outlines. Im aware nine colours sounds like alot but the thread changes are spaced well and each segment is clearly defined so you dont loose your place mid-run.
Five hoops from from 3.51 inches stretching to 7.51, stitch counts 9,320 to 23,837. Density at 428 keeps the whole thing light and airy which suits the kawaii style. Use a soft cutaway stabiliser for knit fabrics. Stitch it on quilting cotton or canvas and a tearaway will do. Add a topping layer of water-soluble film on textured blanks so the wing details come out sharp.
One customer sent me a photo of the large size on a white tote bag last spring and it looked realy cheerful, the sort of detail that makes people stop and ask where you got it. Thats what I was going for with the colour mix.

- Summer tote bags and beach pouchesThe 5 inch build placed on a canvas tote looks fresh for summer markets.
- Nursery wall hoops and fabric artMounted in a 10 inch hoop over white linen it makes a sweet piece for a nursery insect theme.
- Zipper pouches and pencil casesThe small size works nicely on a zipper pouch front panel for a pencil case gift set.
- Personalised gifts with names added belowAdd a childs name in a running stitch font below the dragonfly for a personalised back-to-school gift.
- Iron-on patches for jeans and denim jacketsCut the stitched fabric into a patch shape and iron-on to a denim jacket for a quick kawaii accent.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
