The duckling has its little wing kicked out to one side like it just got startled by something, which gives it personality beyond just standing there. The body uses short tatami fill variations that create that fluffy downy look you get on a real baby duck, not a smooth flat fill but something with texture and movement to it. The head is round and oversized the way baby animals naturally look, reads as genuinely cute rather than trying too hard.
15 colours is the highest count in this range and you can see why when you look at the feather shading. Multiple yellows going from warm lemon at the chest highlight through to buff and ochre on the shadow sides, orange beak and feet, white highlight spots, grey shadow areas. Easter is when I sell the most of these honestly. Baby duck on a onesie for a new arrival or an easter morning has been a consistent seller for years, this is one design that I know wont sit around.
I get messages asking if I can send the colour change order with the file, and yes that info comes with the download as a PDF stitch guide. 15 colours sounds scary but the yellow shades stitch in sequence so you dont lose track. Density is 1,049 so use cutaway stabiliser all the way, no exceptions on the larger sizes.
5 sizes from 3.13 up to 6.71 inches wide. Heights go from 3.51 to 7.51 inches so its taller than it is wide. The 6.71 inch version hits 52,870 stitches. Best on white, cream, pale yellow and soft mint cotton fabrics. Skip patterned fabric here, those 15 colour changes need a plain ground to read properly.
Hoop snugly and use water-soluble topping on towelling to keep those feather details from sinking in. Works great on cotton jersey with a firm cutaway underneath.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
