Worked on this eagle face design last january when I was going through a wildlife phase. Four threads: white head feathers, near-black brown for the feather shading and eye ring, golden yellow for the beak, and amber for the iris. Thats it. The restraint in the colour palette is what makes this one punch above its weight, the contrast does all the heavy lifting.
Five sizes from 3.5 inches wide 7.5-in top size wide. Stitch the smaller ones on a cap front. Use the full 7.5-in chest run on jacket back or large tote. Stitch count ranges from 14,044 at the small end to 36,239 at the large. Density is around 677 which is on the lighter side, so youre not building up too much bulk on the head feather area. Use tearaway stabiliser on woven fabrics, cutaway on anything with stretch.
The feather detail on the white head area uses a short directional fill, not applique, so the texture comes through in the thread layers. Skip very dark base fabrics unless you swap the white feather thread for a contrast colour. I had a customer tell me they recieved more compliments on this one on their caps than any other design they'd ever ordered. Text me a quick note if the file doesnt load on your machine and Ill check which format suits your software and swap it.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Baseball cap front panelMid-size 5 inch version fits a standard cap front, use tearaway stabiliser on the structured fabric.
- Denim jacket back designLarge 7.5 inch fills a denim jacket back yoke, cutaway stabiliser holds dense brown shading firm.
- Mens canvas tote bagLarge version on a denim tote panel front, the bold graphic style reads well on the plain fabric.
- Patriotic shirt chest patchSmall 3-in size on a shirt chest, tearaway behind woven cotton, white feathers contrast sharply.
- Wildlife wall hoop artFramed in a 6 inch hoop, the face-forward composition works as standalone wall decor.
- School sports bag flapMid-size on a sports bag flap, density of 677 keeps the piece from stiffening the fabric.
- Father's Day gift on fleeceLarge size on a fleece blanket, pre-wash fleece and use cutaway stabiliser under the knit.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
