Sketched this one out as a proper stacked word art layout, each word sits on its own line in its own colour, and ya get 3 colours and five different thread shades total across the composition. The words themselves are in flowing cursive script, not block text, so theres a handwritten energy to it even at the smaller sizes. The orange goes on 'eat' at the top, sky blue on 'sleep', hot pink on 'beach', and dark magenta carries 'repeat' at the bottom. Dark green handles the little tropical decorations tucked in the gaps.

The motifs arent just stuck on as afterthoughts, the shell sits top-left, a small star accent appears near 'eat', a hibiscus bloom sits centre-right next to 'beach', a monstera leaf fills the bottom-left corner, and a small fish accent sits bottom-right. industry-grade software handled the lettering path with satin columns through each letterform, and the density at 428 keeps the whole piece light enough for jersey and knit fabrics without pulling. 4 colour changes in the sequence, 5 thread stops total.

Last summer a customer grabbed the 5-inch version for a matching set of beach towels, they did a bunch of them as holiday gifts and said the thread held up great after washing, no bleeding between the colour blocks. Run it on a lightweight tearaway stabiliser if youre going onto a cotton poplin or linen blend. Hooped properly youll get clean edges on those cursive loops even at the 3-inch minimum.

Great for anything going to a beach trip or summer market stall. The script style is casual enough that it doesnt feel overly branded, it just looks like something ya picked up from a cute handmade shop. Use a stabiliser with a bit more grip if youre hooping stretchy swim coverup fabric, and add topping film on terry cloth so the script letters dont disappear into the loops.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Beach towels and pool wrapsThe 5-colour layout reads well on white or cream towels, the bright thread palette stands out against light ground fabric without needing a backing colour.
  • Cream cotton tank topsA cream tank top with the 5-inch version centred on the chest is probably the most classic use for this, the script weight suits singlet fabric well.
  • Summer tote bagsCanvas or cotton tote bags at the beach are a great match for this design, the 7-inch version fills a standard tote front panel nicely.
  • Kids beach coverupKids beach coverup dresses in a light cotton work well with the smaller 3-inch or 4-inch version stitched onto the chest pocket area.
  • Matching holiday gift setsA customer who runs a small handmade gift shop put this on a lil bundle of coordinated beach items and said it sold out at her summer market.
  • Swim bag or mesh beach bagMesh beach bags are trickier to stabilise but the moderate stitch count means its manageable with the right cutaway backing taped to the outside of the mesh.
  • Summer market stall stockIf youre making stock for a summer market stall the 4 colour stops are fast enough to turn around in batches, each piece takes maybe 8-12 minutes depending on your machine speed.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
