The top line says 'But first,' in that handwritten script style with a little comma at the end, flanked by diamond shapes on both sides. Then below that, the word COFFEE stacks three times in large block letters, the letters alternate between caramel, tan-brown, black, and hot pink so no two next to each other are the same colour. Its busy in a good way. Fun without being shouty.

Four colours total, 3 colour changes, and 45 trims on the 4 inch. Stitch counts go from 16,283 at the smallest up to 42,255 at the 8 inch, so this is a heavier design, not a quick 10-minute run. Budget time for it. The lettering is all satin fill so each letter has that chunky embossed look once its done, you can really feel the texture on the fabric.

Run fusible polymesh underneath knit fabrics before hooping, that much column stitching on a tee will pull without good support. On canvas pouches or denim, hoop a medium tearaway and youre set. Go 4 or 5 inches for a standard tee chest, bigger for tote bags or apron bibs where theres more room. Load black thread first, then caramel, tan, then pink, dont skip that order or the script gets buried under all those big letters.

I sell a lot of coffee-themed designs and this one moves well as a gift item around the holidays. A friend of mine who runs a small gift hamper business last christmas used the 5 inch on canvas tote bags for a coffee-lover bundle and said her customers kept asking where she got the embroidery done. Stitch it on cream or white for the best colour contrast, dark fabric mutes the caramel tones.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kitchen apron front panel for coffee lover gift setsThe bold block letters read clearly on thick apron canvas even from a distance, the 5 to 6 inch range suits bib placement.
  • Tote bag front for daily coffee run commutersAt 4 to 5 inches it centres well on a tote front and the hot pink accent stands out against natural canvas.
  • Sweatshirt or hoodie chest placement for casual wearThe 4 colour build looks great on grey or cream sweatshirt fleece, hoop polymesh underneath to stop the stretch pull.
  • Coffee station decor fabric wall hanging or hoop artMounted in a 6 or 8 inch hoop on linen, this reads like intentional wall art for a kitchen coffee corner.
  • Makeup or cosmetic pouch front for morning routine giftsThe 4 inch fits a standard makeup pouch front panel, the stacked COFFEE is readable even at that size.
  • Pillow cover or cushion front for kitchen seating areaBlock letters at 6 inches fill a standard cushion front panel without needing any extra background embellishment.
  • Cafe market tote or barista gift bag panelThis goes on a reusable tote or thermal bag as a barista gift, the colours suit a coffee-themed gift set.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
