Big butterfly, left wing filled in solid black with the classic white oval spots and black vein lines running through it, right wing done in the same open outline style as the flowers so it reads almost transparent. The butterfly sits forward on a cluster of open daisy-type blooms, petals outlined not filled, little round seed centres and a few leaves and buds tucked in around the base. The contrast is what makes it work, that one heavy solid wing against all the delicate line-work around it.
Single colour family here, its all black and white, which actually makes it one of the more versatile designs in my collection. No thread swaps mid-stitch for colour matching, you load black thread and go. 9 sizes from 3.25 by 3-in baseline up 6.95 by 7.5 inches. Smallest sits around 9,020 stitches, largest hits 20,518. Low density at 394 means it stitches quickly and doesnt overload the fabric.
I see orders for this from people doing monochrome home decor projects, a customer in march ordered the 6-inch for a set of white linen napkins and said it looked like printed fabric from a distance. The open outline flowers give it that printed botanical feel without the bulk of solid satin fills throughout.
Stitch on white cotton, cream linen, pale grey canvas or ivory twill. Skip dark fabrics unless youre going for a reverse-out effect with white thread swapped in. Use a lightweight tearaway stabiliser on woven fabrics, the low density and open stitching means you dont need anything heavy. Email me if you need a mirrored version or a different size arrangement.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
