Two calla lily blooms, crossing at the base with their stems going in different directions, tendrils kinda curling out around them like an art nouveau border. The petals are that dusty mauve-pink colour. Gonna say its closer to a muted plum-pink than a bright pink. The inner throat sits in a deeper shade of the same family. The stems and leaf-like curves underneath are a rich teal-green that gives the whole thing that jewellery illustration quality. Five thread colours total.

The punch came out of professional digitising tools, and the directional satin runs follow the natural curve of each petal from base to tip. That matters alot because calla lily petals are wide and smooth, not textured, so if the stitch direction goes wrong it looks flat and cheap. These truly do read as botanical and refined when the satin direction is correct. Density at 945 keeps the petal areas from getting too stiff on lighter fabric weights. The 116 trims in the smallest 3.51-inch size are tightly packed, so a machine with reliable auto-trim saves time on production runs.

Stitch this on a medium-weight woven cotton or a cotton-poly blend with a medium cutaway stabiliser underneath. Dont use a light stabiliser on the stems, theyre narrow satin columns and the design will shift during hooping if theres not enough backing. A customer wanted the 5-in build for table linens last autumn and the mauve against white came out looking clean and grown-up. Run the teal stems with the presser foot pressure set one notch higher than usual to keep those narrow columns from separating mid-stitch.

Add a tearaway on top if youre stitching onto a textured linen weave so the needle path stays consistent across the uneven surface. Light-coloured thread on light fabric? Pop a topping on. Problem solved.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Wedding table runners and centrepiece linensMauve and teal pairing works beautifully on white or ivory linen table runners
  • Bridal party tote bags and accessoriesThe tall proportion suits a long tote bag front panel at the 5 to 7-inch size
  • Throw pillow covers in neutral or cream fabricCream or dusty-pink pillow fabric lets both colours read clearly
  • Cotton tea towels with a botanical themeA single bloom from the design can be isolated in software for a smaller tea towel motif
  • Shirt yoke panels and blouse pocketsChest pocket placement at 3.5 inches adds a quiet floral detail without being loud
  • Framed fabric art and hoop displaysStitched on natural cotton and mounted in 7-in size hoop frame it looks gallery-ready
  • Personalised gift bags for floral occasionsThe neutral mauve tone fits Mother's Day, anniversary, and sympathy gift wrapping fabric

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
