One colour. Thats actually it. The whole tree is built out of swirling scrollwork and round teardrop fills arranged in a triangular silhouette, and a small solid star sits at the very top. No outlines, no base coat, just the swirls themselves holding the tree shape together. At 7.51 inches it reads like iron lacework. At 3.51 inches it compresses into a compact ornament-style motif. Either way, its a properly elegant design.

The stitch count runs 10k at the smallest, 22k on the big size. Single thread through the whole run , no colour changes at all, machine just goes. The density is lower than you'd expect at 497, which keeps the feel light and open rather than solid and heavy. Satin columns on the scroll curves, tatami fill on the flat teardrop petals. my main software laid that underlay in properly so the scroll edges are crisp, not fuzzy. A well-made single-colour design honestly takes more planning than a multi-colour one, its the structure carrying everything.

I get lots of messages asking if this works on coloured fabric. Yes it really does, actually thats where it shines. Deep burgundy thread on a tan pillow is something to see. Same design, gold thread on white cotton organdy, somebody sent me photos from a wedding table runner last christmas and I was genuinely suprised how good it looked. This is one of those that works in whatever thread colour you load up, the scroll structure is strong enough to carry any tone.

Stitch it on linen, cotton twill, felt, or even a quality canvas tote. Skip jersey because the open scroll fills drift on stretch fabric without cutaway support. Pair tearaway plus topping all woven fabrics , the design doesnt need anything heavier. Load your chosen thread colour and run a test swatch first if youre going with a darker or metallic thread. Email me if anything looks off after download and Ill send a corrected file right away.

  • Cotton napkin corner motifsCotton napkin corners with the 3.51-inch in a matching thread colour ties a whole dinner table set into a cohesive look.
  • Wedding or event christmas decorWedding planners doing christmas-event table decor have stitched this on organza overlays in silver and champagne thread.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
