The heart shape here isnt drawn as a line, its built entirely out of flowers. Red hibiscus blooms cluster at the top and their petals form the two lobes of the heart. Cream trumpet lilies hang down each side like a frame. At the base purple roses and aster daisy heads sit heavy and full, and a dark green laurel garland runs underneath em all to close the shape. No outline, no border. Just flowers arranged so tightly they become the heart.
Twelve colours in the file, which sounds like alot but the palette is actually pretty restrained. You get greens, reds, purples, cream and sand tones, and black for the outlines and stamen details. The Wilcom digitising put directional fill on the lily petals so they actually look like they curve inward, and the rose fills have a kinda spiral satin pattern that reads as petals even at the smaller 4.12-inch size.
I designed this one around valentines day two years ago and honestly its gotten way more use as a wedding piece than I expected. A boutique embroidery shop ordered the large 6.85-inch for bridal tote bags last june, and she told me her clients keep asking to reorder it on their napkin sets. So Im listing it year-round now.
Stitch on white or cream cotton for the strongest contrast. The dark green garland needs a pale ground. Skip mid-tone pinks or lavenders as backgrounds because the magenta and purple sections blend into em. Satin pillowcases, white linen table napkins, cream canvas totes all work great. Pop the smallest size on a shirt pocket or card holder front.
Cutaway stabiliser under everything, especially on the purple rose sections which carry high stitch density at 64k on the 7.5-inch. Slow your machine for those fills. The satin columns on the lily trumpet petals need good tension or they pucker. Hoop snug, not brutal, and let the underlay do its job.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
