So the heart itself is a clean open outline, no fill, just the shape. And then the left side of it has this big botanical cluster growing right out of the edge where the two lobes meet. Thats where most of the visual weight sits. You've got a full daisy face in the centre with petals going in every direction, a second layered bloom behind it, a bunch of elongated leaves fanning outward above and below, and some smaller leaf sprigs that trail down toward the bottom point.
Its all line art so the thread texture actually shows up as part of the design. On white cotton or linen the black stitching looks almost botanical-printed, like something out of an old gardening encyclopedia. But its also just a heart, so it reads as romantic first and intricate second. Thats the balance thats hard to get right.
The flowers dont just sit on top of the heart outline either. They break through it. The cluster overlaps the left edge so the blooms feel like part of the heart rather than decoration on top. Small thing, but it makes the whole piece feel more deliberate. I sent a valentine last February stitched on a cream handkerchief and my mum still has it on her dressing table, which tells you a lot about how well line art ages on fabric.
Stitch on white or pale cream woven fabric and the open-outline style does its best work. Skip patterned backgrounds because the line detail gets lost. Use pique, linen, cotton broadcloth, or canvas tote. Run it on a woven stabiliser sheet so those long leaf satin runs stay crisp and dont pull. Pop it on a gift pouch or a tea towel and you've got something that doesnt look like it came from a machine.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
