This one is all linework. No fill, no colour changes, just a single dark green thread tracing an asymmetric bouquet of open peony-style blooms, broad pointed leaves, fern fronds, and a lil cluster of trailing bead-chain stems that drape below the main arrangement. Its the kind of piece that looks more complex than it is to stitch, because the outline work and directional satin give alot of visual depth without needing multiple thread colours.

The file was digitised through Wilcom, and density lands at 490 which gives those petal outlines a solid raised edge without the thread bulk youll get from dense fill designs. 1 colour across five sizes, ranging from 3.51 inches wide up to 7.51 inches. Trims run to 92 at the smallest size and 98 at the 4.51-inch version, so the bobbin does a bit of work on this one. Use a firm cutaway stabiliser, especially on pique or waffle-weave fabrics where the hooped area can shift mid-run.

Earlier this spring a customer asked about the 7-inch hoop version for a white pique shirt front and I told her to stabilise heavily and slow her machine speed by about 20 percent on the fine fern sections. She did, and it came out beautifully. The trailing stems at the base are the trickiest part, theyre fine and close together so any stabiliser slippage shows up fast there. Dont skip that step on textured weaves.

Pair this with white pique, sage linen, or even a dusty green canvas for a tone-on-tone effect that reads really quietly in person. Pop it on a tote front, a cushion cover, or the back panel of a light jacket. Best on tightly woven fabrics rather than jersey since the underlay needs something to grip. Pick a fresh mid-green thread if ya want more contrast than dark forest, the outline style carries either way.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
