Drew the Happy Halloween in flowing two-line cursive with a tiny bat accent, wanting something that would look at home on a proper Halloween event setup, not a kids costume bag. The script is elegant, the kind of cursive where the letters flow into each other naturally and you can actually read it fast. Happy sits up top, Halloween curves below it, and the descending tail loops right into the H below so the pair reads as one connected phrase. A tiny bat perches up at the top left, realy just a small detail but it anchors the whole design in the season without making it feel childish. I get messages every September from people wanting the design for Halloween party napkins and tablecloths.

Single black thread, single colour stop, zero colour changes. Thats the whole stop sequence. The digitising uses thin satin paths tracing every stroke rather than fill, so the letterforms stay crisp and the density at 413 is deliberately light. Light density on a flowing script is actually the right call: too dense and the fine loops on the ascenders start to feel heavy and theyll lose that calligraphy character. Use a light cutaway stabiliser or a firm tearaway under linen or cotton and the paths stay smooth. Topping helps a lot on textured fabric like burlap or french terry. Pair it with a small pumpkin design if youre building a full tea towel set.

Six sizes from 1.50 inches wide at 4,382 stitches up to 4.48 inches wide at 13,912 stitches. Stitch the 4-inch version on a linen tea towel. Pop the smallest size on a Halloween gift tag or a wine bottle neck bag. Skip dark grey fabric if youre using black thread, the contrast disappears and youll regret it. Best on white, cream, or a proper deep black with white thread swapped in.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Linen tea towels and a linen napkin set for Halloween entertainingThe 4.48-inch version centered on a cotton kitchen towel is kinda just the right scale for the fabric width
  • Wine bottle bags and gift wrap fabric pouchesWhite thread on black cotton fabric gives this script a really striking reverse colourway
  • Halloween party table runners in natural linenUse the 1.small 5-in build on a wine bottle neck tag for a quick customised halloween hostess gift
  • Throw pillow covers with a grown-up Halloween aestheticThe 6 sizes mean you can run the same design across a matching set of napkins and a table runner
  • Fabric bookmarks and planner covers for OctoberOn a velvet throw pillow the thin satin paths catch the light differently from different angles

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
