There something really satisfying about the way this one reads, you clock the word before you notice the heart swap. The o has been replaced by a small outlined heart with just enough internal satin fill to match the weight of the surrounding letters, it doesnt feel stuck on. Single red thread, satin stitch throughout, density at 203 which is exactly right for calligraphy style letterforms that need crisp edges without puckering.

Stitches range from 3,297 at the 3.51-inch size up to 7,279 running the 7.51-inch version, and theres only 3 trims in the entire file. Wilcom kept the path routing efficient so you dont get extra thread tails across the letterforms. Use a light no-show mesh on on woven or poplin, and a medium tearaway on stretchy jersey knits. Stitch this on white, cream, or blush fabric for the cleanest red contrast. Email me if the trim positions matter for your specific machine and I can give you the exact jump sequence.

Valentine items are the obvious use but this honestly sits year-round. I get messages from customers putting it on bridal party totes, anniversary keepsake hoops, tea towels, and even fabric greeting card inserts. Add this to a canvas pouch alongside a small gift and it looks considered rather than rushed. A customer last Christmas put it on a set of 6 linen napkins for a wedding and said the red on cream looked exactly like what she had in mind. Pair with a bone or ivory thread backing fabric and run a size 75 needle for clean satin on tight weaves. Email a note if the download hits any snags and Ill resend it.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Valentine's Day gifts and packagingSweetheart neckline shirt for a sister's birthday; the floating heart in the letter o is exactly the kind of detail that gets noticed in photos.
  • Wedding favour bags and gift wrappingLinen napkin set for a Valentine-season wedding table, red on cream, my sister did 8 of these for her reception and they all came out perfectly.
  • Bridal party tote bagsOxford shirt pocket in pale blue fabric with red thread; the calligraphy sits well in that formal-but-human space.
  • Shirt pocket or cuff accentBridal party tote bag with a name alongside this script; customers order this combination for hen weekends more than valentines now.
  • Tea towels and kitchen linensJournal cover in canvas muslin, 4-inch version stitched before the cover is assembled, makes a genuinely lovely keepsake piece.
  • Anniversary keepsake hoop framingTea towel lower corner at chest 3.5. The scale feels right for that placement, not too big, not hidden away in the edge seam.
  • Greeting card fabric insertsReads as detailed even from across a room at the 7-in feature size, which is why this works on cushion covers without needing a secondary design.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
