Its the word 'Love' in cursive script but the letters are arranged so the whole word reads like a heart when you step back and look at the silhouette. The L and e curve up and out to form the two upper lobes, the v dips into the middle and the final e sweeps down to a point at the bottom. You get the word and the heart shape at the same time, which I think is why this one does really well. Two colours, main fill plus a thin contrasting outline or shadow, so theres just enough visual separation to make the letterforms crisp.

Dm me if you need help matching thread colours to your fabric. Five sizes in a nearly square format, 3.5 by 3.49 inches at 3,855 stitches going up to 7.5 by 7.47 inches at 9,218 stitches. Density is only 165 which is light, so this runs fast and doesnt put any strain on the fabric. My niece asked me this past January to make something for her girlfriend and I stitched the 5 inch run on a white cotton tote at 6 inches, it was the first embroidery present she'd ever given and the girlfriend loved it.

Use tearaway stabiliser since the density is light, woven cottons work great. Try it on canvas or denim too if you want a more casual look. Go with colours that have good contrast since the letterform detail depends on you seeing the outline against the fill. Avoid very stretchy knits at the small sizes or the heart silhouette distorts. Keep the hoop tension snug so the curves stay smooth.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
