Nurse Life in a proper loopy cursive script, the kind with the long swooping N at the front and the descender on the f dropping well below the baseline. Two colours, red and black, with the red carrying the main script body and black adding a shadow or accent stroke underneath to keep the thinner joins readable even at smaller sizes. The letterforms have that handwritten-diary quality, not a rigid font, more like someone who writes with good pen pressure and a bit of natural flair. Ive seen alot of nurse quote designs but most dont have this kind of genuine script character to em.
I mapped this through Wilcom EmbroideryStudio at a density of 287 stitches per square inch, which is lighter than most of my text designs, it lets the cursive strokes look fine and natural rather than blocky. Theres 6 sizes from 2 inches up to 8 inches, so youre covered for anything from badge placement to jacket back. Stitch counts from 3,418 at the 2-inch up to 16,599 at the 8-inch. One colour change per size run.
Best substrate is a smooth stable fabric, cotton twill or a firm linen blend works well. Back it with tearaway on woven fabrics, the lower density means the design needs good backing or youll get wobble in the cursive joins. A customer ordered this on a cream linen tote back in March, said the red-on-cream contrast was exactly right. Pair it with a neutral background, the script reads best when theres real contrast between the red and the base fabric.
Pop it on a left-chest placement on a scrub jacket, or a nursing bag front, the 4-inch size fits without touching the collar. For smaller placements like badge pouches and hat panels, go with the 2-inch or 3-inch on a hooped tearaway. The lighter underlay density means youll want a topping on any textured surface to keep the thin cursive joins sharp. nurses day in May is a big ordering window for this one if youre planning ahead for gift runs.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
