This design gets ordered by people who want the flamingo look without any text or humor attached to it. Its just the bird. But the detail that makes it interesting is the cluster of outlined flowers sitting right across the middle of the body, the petals drawn in a lighter pink over the solid fill, so you see 2 layers of stitching in the same colour family.
The silhouette itself is the wide horizontal pose, one leg up, neck curving forward. The whole thing sits low and wide rather than tall and narrow. At the largest size it comes in at 7 inches wide and only 3.7 inches tall, which makes it suited for wide placements like across a tote bag front or a pillow panel. Pick from 4 sizes starting at 4 inches wide.
3 thread colours, all in the pink family so the transitions are subtle. Stitch count runs from 8,842 up to 17,516 at the 7-inch wide size. Medium density at 674 stitches per cm. Tape a poly cutaway on knit fabrics and a tearaway on tightly-woven items. Hoop drum-tight to keep those flower petal outline lines from shifting during the run.
I get quite a few orders for this one as a standalone gift, no message needed, the bird says enough on its own. Last spring a customer stitched it on a set of linen pillow covers for her guest room and sent me a photo, looked really clean against the neutral linen. Ping me anytime if youre not sure which size works for your project and ill help you sort it.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Stitched on a canvas tote bag as a clean flamingo gift with no textCanvas tote bags suit the wide horizontal composition well; use the 6 to 7 inch size centered on the front panel.
- Embroidered on a linen pillow cover for a tropical-themed bedroomLinen pillow covers benefit from a firm cutaway stabiliser; the 7-inch size fills a 16-inch pillow nicely.
- Placed on a white t-shirt for a subtle flamingo design without slogansOn a white tee, the 4 to 5 inch size sits well centered on the chest; use a cutaway on the knit fabric.
- Added to a beach towel as a wide horizontal placement across the borderA beach towel border placement works with the 6 to 7 inch size; use a water-soluble topper on the terry loops.
- Used on a tea towel or kitchen cloth for a flamingo home kitchen accentTea towels in cotton or linen take the 5-inch size without a topper on tight-weave fabric.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
