The elegant snowflake star is an eight-pointed filigree shape, no solid satin fill inside -- its an open lattice of thin parallel lines crossed by scrollwork curls at every junction, like someone fitted a lace doily into a star outline. Outer points are long and sharp, tapering to fine tips, with a second ring of shorter points sitting between them. Single aqua teal all the way through, one thread, no colour break. Customers asked about this one for christmas tree toppers and I totally get it -- the shape reads as a classic star but the scroll interior makes it feel genuinely handmade. At 7.44 inches the filigree detail is visible from across a room, which is what you need when its hanging above everything else on the tree. Tape a layer of stabiliser behind the hoop on lighter wovens like organza or voile -- the open grid sections can pucker if the backing cant hold tension.
