Three hearts sitting together in a cluster, each one slightly different in size, and connected by long curling swirl lines that spiral out from the edges. The flourishes loop back on themselves, they add real length to the design footprint without adding bulk to the fill area. Its the kind of piece that looks like it took hours to hand-stitch, which is the point honestly.
3 colours at a density of 500 which is on the firmer side of normal. The hearts themselves are dense red satin, the swirls run as a finer secondary colour, and the outline layer ties everything together. Stitch count starts at 9,874 at 3.14 inches and goes up to 25,195 at 6.71 inches. 5 sizes total. The digitising uses directional angle changes between the heart fills so you get that slight sheen variation when the light hits it from different angles, it doesnt look flat.
Ive been selling swirl heart designs for a few years now and this style gets ordered most often for valentines cushion covers and tote bags. One customer this february used the large 6.71-inch on a red velvet cushion cover and said it looked like a high-end boutique piece. She'd used cutaway stabiliser underneath the velvet and a wash-away topping on top, which is exactly right for pile fabrics since the swirl satin would sink without the topping holding surface tension.
Use medium or heavy cutaway on velvet, faux suede and fleece. Tearaway is fine on woven cotton and linen. Hoop the fabric firm because the long swirl runs will pull at loose corners and distort the spirals. Add an underlay pass before the satin if youre on thicker cotton so the density doesnt push through to the back.
Avoid sheer or lightweight fabrics, the 500 density will show through. Email me the order details if anything is wrong with the download and Ill send a replacement right over.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

- Red velvet tote bag gift for partnerRed velvet tote bag at 5 inches with cutaway and wash-away topping; the velvet pile would kill the swirl satin without both layers of support.
- Valentines table runner centrepiece hoopWhite cotton apron bib at 5 inches; the swirl extensions fill the panel above the waist tie cleanly without clipping the edges.
- Cotton apron front romantic kitchen giftHeather grey sweatshirt chest at 6 inches; the deep red reads warm against grey and the spiralling flourishes add movement that a plain heart doesnt.
- Adult sweatshirt chest panel valentinesCotton table runner, 3.5-inch version at each end; small enough to keep the runner feeling elegant rather than busy.
- Framed hoop art valentines wall decorationWooden hoop at 6.7 inches framed as valentines wall art; at 500 density the sheen on the satin hearts catches light from across the room.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
