
Big bloom, centre stage, nothing else. Its a zinnia-type flower with maybe 20 petals layered around a dense satin yellow centre, and each petal is worked with directional stitching that runs from the tip down toward the base. The outers are cream and near-white, the undersides deepen into olive and a warm dark sage where the petals tuck under each other. That gradation is what makes it look like a painting rather than a flat fill. One green leaf drops down the left side of the stem to break up the composition slightly.
Seven colours, 6 colour changes, black outlines are heavy enough that the whole thing reads from distance. This is not a fast-stitch design. Smallest size is 39,286 stitches and the largest 7.5 hits 88,036. Thats a lot of thread, so budget your bobbin. But the density is what makes it look like a gallery piece when it comes off the machine, the petal fills have real texture to them.

I ran the 5-in build for a cream linen table runner last month for a bridal shower order and it held up perfectly across 12 napkins. The black outline stays crisp even after washing when you've got a firm cutaway underneath. One customer wrote me after her first batch saying she cant believe how sharp the petals still look after ten washes, which honestly made my week.
Cream, ivory or oatmeal linen shows the full colour range best. The olive and sage petal shading almost disappears on white because its too close in tone. On charcoal or navy fabric the cream petals pop beautifully but youll lose the stem detail. Pair with a simple font for a monogram project, theres blank space at the top that makes room. Dont skip the fabric prep step here.
Cutaway stabiliser underneath, no question at 88k stitches. Iron the fabric flat before hooping and use a topping on linen or any fabric with texture. The density runs highest in that yellow centre so slow the machine there. Keep your bobbin tight or it shows through on the underside of all that pale cream petal fill.
