This is the kind of border design I keep coming back to. Its not fussy, nothing is perfectly symmetrical, the stems lean at different angles, the flower heads vary in size, and it looks like something picked from an actual garden rather than drawn in a software grid. Open daisy shapes sit beside tall thin grass stems, fern frond clusters fill the gaps, and a few poppy buds poke up at different heights. All single dark green thread. One colour. Done.

Runs 7,015 stitches at the smallest size up to 13,172 stitches at the full 5.25 inch wide version, so stitch time is short even at the bigger sizes. The height range across all 5 sizes goes from 2.63 inches up to 8 inches tall, which gives you alot of flexibility for table runners versus napkin edges versus shirt hems. I digitised it in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio with underlay runs beneath each stem so they sit upright and dont lean on lighter fabrics. Use tearaway stabiliser on woven home decor fabric and it comes away clean without puckering.

Tea-shop owners DM me asking for table runner sizes and brides order repeat sets for different events. Stitch it along napkin hems, tea towel edges, pillowcase borders, the horizontal format fits along the edge of almost anything. On white linen the dark green reads rich and botanical, on natural undyed linen it goes a bit more rustic which is equally good. Last spring a bride ordered eight of these for napkin sets and it looked like something from a high-end linen shop. People have been buying this specifically for wedding table linen. Skip synthetic fabrics for this one, the satin stem lines dont read as well on anything slippery or loosely woven. Email me if the file doesnt download properly and Ill get it back to ya same day.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Wedding reception table linen hem borderBrides order sets of 8 napkins at the 5 inch wide size, the border runs along one short end with consistent spacing.
  • Linen napkin set edge decorationTea towels use the 4 inch wide size along the bottom hem, tearaway stabiliser comes off cleanly from linen weave without distortion.
  • Kitchen tea towel decorative stripShirt hems at the 4-in motif stitched on medium-weight cotton broadcloth, cutaway backing keeps the stems from puckering after washing.
  • Shirt or dress hem botanical accentPillowcases get the full 8 inch tall version centred on the open end, looks elegant on white Egyptian cotton.
  • Pillowcase border for bedroom linen setsGarden party aprons have this running across the bib panel horizontally, Ive seen it paired with the persons name above in a thin script.
  • Spring garden party apron front panelLinen tote bags use it as a flap accent, the dark green against natural linen is the whole aesthetic.
  • Botanical journal cover or bag flap accentNotebook covers in structured canvas have this at the bottom third, topped with a simple stamped date in ink for a complete look.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
