The deer is built from swirls and curls not a flat fill. The body outline is there, antlers are properly branched and sized, but inside the body instead of solid tatami theres a flowing decorative pattern of satin curves and spirals that gives the whole thing an art nouveau feel. Snowflakes float around the figure, six-pointed satin versions scattered at different sizes.
Single ice blue thread, no colour changes, no bobbin swaps. Stitch counts go from 8,638 stitches at the smallest up to 17,771 for the 7.5 inch version. Five sizes total, running from 3.33 inches tall up to 7.13 inches. Density is 332 so its a lighter weight stitch-out than most multi-colour holiday designs, machines generally handle it without complaint.
I get messages every winter asking for deer designs that arent the typical outlined cartoon version. A customer last december told me she specifically searched for something that worked on adult womens winter wear without looking like a kids jumper. This one does that, the decorative body stitching reads as proper illustration work.
Stitch on white, cream, navy or charcoal and the ice blue reads beautifully on all of em. Its one of those rare single-colour designs that looks better on dark backgrounds than light ones. Use tearaway on cotton or canvas, cutaway if youre hooping a stretch jersey. The body fill can pull on unstabilised knits so dont skip that step.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Womens winter sweatshirts and hoodiesThe 5.5 inch build placement on a navy womens sweatshirt reads as an elegant winter illustration rather than a novelty christmas piece.
- Christmas gift wrap on cotton tote bagson a craft tote face the ice blue deer and snowflakes make a clean winter gift bag that works past christmas too.
- Winter home decor on white linen hoop artHooped on white linen in a 7 inch wooden frame the large version becomes a wall art piece for a winter living room.
- Seasonal scarves and fleece accessoriesA small size stitched on the corner of a cream fleece scarf adds a quiet nature detail without taking over the whole piece.
- Holiday throw pillow covers on ivory linenThe 4.5 inch run feature on a linen pillow cover works for a winter bedroom look that doesnt feel overtly seasonal.
- Woodland themed baby nursery decorThe 3.33 inch small size on a white cotton nursery hoop panel suits a woodland creature theme that isnt gender specific.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
