The profile is drawn as a single flowing outline, the sort of illustration where if youre lifting your pen it would all fall apart. Nose, lips, chin, neck, and then the hair sweeps back in these long satin curves that taper at the ends. Nothing filled in heavily. Its all about the line quality.
4 colours: a dark charcoal nearly black for the main outline and hair shadow, a warm ivory tone for the face skin area, a mid brown for the hair body fill and a very soft line for the neck and shoulder base. The low stitch count, 8,379 at the 3.5 inch size up to 21,746 at 7.5 inches, means this one stitches fast compared to the complex animal designs. The satin lines along the profile edge are the part that takes the most care, theyre run at an angle that keeps the curve smooth around the jaw and brow.
I started getting orders for this one from customers doing fashion branded totes last year. One customer told me she was selling handmade market bags with this stitched on the front in cream thread on a black canvas bag. Said her bags were selling faster than she could make em. Thats the kind of thing that really realy makes my day.
Comes in 5 sizes from 3.5 to 7.5 inches wide. Back woven cotton or canvas with tearaway. Use cutaway stabiliser for any jersey or stretch fabric since the satin line outlines'll pull otherwise. Skip busy patterned fabric, this design needs a plain background to let the line work breathe.
Works on totes, cushion covers, denim jackets, fashion apparel and framed hoop art. Pair it with a botanical line art design for a really cohesive collection look.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Fashion branded canvas tote bagsA 6-inch chest on a obsidian canvas tote in cream thread is the most popular fashion market bag combination.
- Cushion cover centred artCentred on a plain linen cushion cover the line art reads like a modern illustration print rather than a craft project.
- Denim jacket left chest panelA 3.5 inch version on the left chest of a denim jacket is subtle enough for daily wear but distinctive.
- Minimalist framed hoop artHooped on cream linen and stretched in a 6 inch frame it looks like gallery art in a bedroom or studio.
- Womens fashion tee panelsOn a plain white or pale grey womens tee in navy thread it sits as a minimal fashion graphic.
- Hair salon apron or uniform accentsStitched on a salon apron or work top it creates a branded identity without needing a logo.
- Handmade market bag designsOn a cotton or linen market bag paired with a name or shop handle it builds a handmade brand visual.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
