Heres the cute excavator cartoon and its got a lil face on the cab. Big red body with a bright grin painted right onto the windscreen, two cartoony black eyes peering out, a chunky grey arm reaching forward holding a wide scoop bucket. The bucket sits next to a pile of grey rocks and dust on the ground. Black caterpillar tracks run along the base. Yellow exhaust pipe pokes off the back. Silver hydraulic detail on the arm joints.

Look at the linework here, its proper bold. Black outlines wrap every shape so the truck reads from across the room. The red body has subtle darker shading under the arm to give it that 3D pop, dont mistake it for flat. Glossy white highlights sit on the windscreen and the bucket lip. 7 colours total, classic construction-truck palette, all tradesman primary tones. Density runs heavy on this one, 55k stitches on the biggest 6.75 inch size.

I drew this last spring for a friend doing kids construction-themed birthday party shirts. She wanted something that didnt look babyish but still cute enough for a 4-year-olds tee. People have been ordering it for nine birthday party ranges since, and a couple of dads grabbing it for matching weekend wear with their lil construction-obsessed boy.

Pop the 5 inch on a black or bright yellow toddler tee, stitch the 6.75 inch on a denim school bag, run the small 3.5 inch on a baby bib for messy mealtimes. Skip pure white shirts coz the windscreen highlights vanish without contrast around em. Pair with a custom name underneath in chunky satin script for personalising. Density is dense on this one. Use a sturdy cutaway stabiliser, hoop firm, slow the machine through the dense red body fills. Add tearaway topping if youre stitching on fleece or terry coz the directional fills can sink. The black tracks have wedge-shape satin columns so the underlay needs to hold up.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
