The fairy leans forward, hands cupped or raised, and butterflies drift out in front of her, a small scatter of them floating away in the same direction. Her wings are open behind her, the wing veins done in directional rows that give them a layered look. Its a very movement-forward composition compared to most static fairy designs, the whole thing reads like shes caught mid-breath. Single colour but the butterfly scatter is the visual hook that makes it diffrent from a plain fairy silhouette. Youll notice how the scatter spacing changes from tight near her hands to looser further out.

Five sizes from 2.9 x 3.51 inches up to 6.2 x 7.5 inches, stitch count reaching around 17,420 on the largest, which is on the lighter side because the design is mostly outline and directional detail rather than dense fill. The butterfly wings use satin with a minimal underlay so they look fine rather than blocky. Run this on a light to medium cutaway stabiliser, the low density means you dont need anything heavy. On voile or lightweight cotton use a water-soluble topping so the satin stitches sit on top cleanly.

I had someone stitch this last month onto a set of 6 bridesmaid gifts, fabric makeup bags with the fairy in gold thread on white cotton. She said the butterflies were the detail everyone commented on, nobody noticed it was a single colour until she told them. Thats the kind of feedback I like. A customer pairing this with a floral design on a gift set will get something that feels cohesive and intentional, not just a single piece.

Stitch onto kids birthday party favour bags in pink or lavender thread. Add it to a fabric makeup pouch as a gift item with a whimsical theme. Use on a girls pillowcase or bedroom cushion as a dreamy accent. Place on a tote book bag for a fairy lover who reads fantasy stories. Pick a stable woven fabric where the butterflies stay crisp. Avoid fabrics with alot of texture where fine satin butterfly wings tend to get lost.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
