This design took me a good bit longer than I expected, eleven colours with 9 sizes, and the skirt on a fairy princess is always the section that tests your patience. The pleated satin folds need careful directional stitching so each fold reads as a separate layer rather than one flat mass. At the largest size youre looking at 62,648 stitches, and even the chest 3.5 version sits at 1,246, which is enough for the basic shapes to read clearly. Density is 173, so this is a really rich, full stitch result.

I digitised this in Wilcom, and the wings gave me the most trouble, kinda just like every delicate wing design does. The icy blue satin with vein lines needs a light underlay rather than a full flood underlay, too much underlay and the translucent feel disappears because the base colour shows through. Back it with polymesh under on the base fabric regardless of what youre stitching on, because with eleven colours and that stitch density, the hooped piece will shift if the stabiliser is too soft.

One customer ordered this for a run of girls birthday party bags and sent me the most gorgeous photo, really really lovely result on a blush pink cotton. Stitch the 5-inch version on bags and youre getting all the wing detail without the figure becoming too dominant. Add a tearaway topping on velvet or textured fabric so the face features stay crisp. Use a 75/11 needle for the face and wand sections.

Ping me a chat if something in the file isn't stitching out right and Ill check it over for you. Send a chat if the satin needs tweaking and Ill review the punch.

  • Girls backpack front embroideryBackpack flap on canvas at 5.5 inches, single cutaway, the dragonfly wings read cleanly against a pale or white ground.
  • Fairy-themed baby blanket cornerBaby fleece blanket corner at 4 inches, cutaway plus a water-soluble topping over the face keeps the feature detail crisp.
  • Flower girl dress sash embroideryFlower girl sash for a spring wedding, 3.5-inch on wide satin ribbon, steady tension matters more than speed here.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
