Heres the flying fairy silhouette at 7.5 inches across, side profile, all in solid black thread on white linen. Shes holding a tiny wand in one hand and her other arm reaches out like shes about to cast a spell. The wings stretch behind her with little leaf-vein cutouts so they read as proper fairy wings instead of flat blobs.

Scattered around her are eight-point stars and small filled dots, the sparkle trail she leaves while flying. Bigger stars near the wings, tiny dots fading out toward the edges, gives the whole hoop a sense of motion. The stars sit on both sides of the figure so the composition fills the frame evenly without feeling lopsided.

Single colour design, only 1 thread on the spool, no thread changes the whole way through. Stitch in black for the obvious classic look, or swap in metallic silver on navy fleece for something stunning under bedside lamp light. Last christmas a customer ordered the 4 inch size for a satin sleep mask side panel and silver thread on charcoal looked dead-on like night sky.

Fill density runs light at 309, so it stitches out fast and stays soft on the back of kids tees and pillowcases where a stiff patch would bug a child. Stitch counts go from 5,696 on the smallest size up to 16,880 on the largest. 9 sizes from 3.5 to 7.5 inches wide.

Use a tearaway stabiliser on woven cotton, switch to mesh cutaway on stretchy jersey or fleece. Skip patterned fabric, the silhouette wants a calm background. Hoop carefully because the wings are wide and dot trails reach close to the edge on the larger sizes. Drop me a message if a file gives trouble and ill have a fresh one your way same day.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • denim jacket back patchesCentre the back of a denim shirt, the scattered stars fill out the shoulder space proper.
  • nursery wall hoopsIn a 10 inch hoop on cream linen, lands like a fairytale page from a vintage storybook.
  • library and book lover totesBlack thread on a book club tote, the design feels like printed library bookplate art.
  • Halloween costume accentsIron onto a Halloween cape or capelet for a quick costume detail, no extra accessories needed.
  • pajama tops and sleep masksSized small for a satin sleep mask side panel, single colour means quick stitching with no thread changes.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
