The fairy is mid-pose with one arm raised, the star wand held up and slightly forward, the star itself sitting at the tip with points radiating out. Wings spread behind her, the wing membranes done with directional fill so they read as translucent rather than solid, which is the hard part of digitising any winged figure. Its silhouette-style overall but the wing detail keeps it from looking flat. Single colour throughout and it reads clearly on almost any fabric colour you pick. Dont be afraid to try it in gold on deep purple, that combination is gorgeous.
Five sizes from 2.9 x 3.5 reaching 6.23 x 7.5 inches, stitch count reaching around 23,011 on the largest. The wand is narrow enough that it needs clean satin stitching to stay defined at the smaller sizes, and Im confident the column widths stay consistent right through so theres no breaks appearing mid-wand. Pair with a cutaway stabiliser on cotton and jersey because theres enough detail in the wings that a floaty stabiliser choice will let things shift. Use topping on fleece or velvet so the wing rows dont sink into the ground.
A customer put this on a party favour tote bag last year, nine identical bags for a fairy birthday party, the 3-inch size in purple thread on white cotton. She said the kids went mad for them and she got stopped by every parent wanting to know where the bags came from. I love hearing that honestly because little kid party projects are exactly what I digitised this fairy size range for. Stitch it and see, the small size is fast to run and very clean.
Use it on kids tshirts for a fairy or fantasy theme birthday outfit. Stitch on a party favour bag for a girls birthday as a quick repeatable project. Add it to a princess pillowcase in pink or lavender thread for a bedroom gift. Place it on a tutu waistband panel for a handmade fairy costume accessory. Avoid hooping fabrics with alot of stretch without proper cutaway underneath or the wings will distort.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids cotton pyjama tops and pillowcasesHoop the 4.5 inch chest run on a pyjama pocket, the wand trail sits nicely across the chest
- Birthday party tees for nieces and daughtersThe 5.5 inch size fits standard kids tees and the sketchy detail reads clean from a few feet away
- Nursery wall hangings on cream linenOn cream linen the black thread holds its own without needing a border frame around the piece
- Tote bags for school book runsStitch the 6.23 inch wide version on the front pocket panel of a canvas tote, looks magical
- Quilt block centre panels in plain creamUse a 7 inch hoop and the 6 inch version sits dead centre with room for a name underneath later
- Fairy themed baby blankets and burp clothsPlace the smallest 2.9 inch fairy in a corner of a burp cloth or onto a baby blanket trim panel

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
