2 maple leaves sitting side by side on the same stem, overlapping in the centre. The left one is a full rich green, the kind of green you see right at the start of autumn when the trees havent fully committed yet. The right one is a warm golden amber, fully turned, same shape and size. The split between the 2 colours is what makes it interesting, its one image but it tells the whole season in a single frame.

Both leaves have detailed vein lines, the orange thread tracing the midrib from stem to tip and branching out through each lobe in a finer secondary network. A satin border run picks up the serrated leaf edge and gives each lobe a clean defined finish. The density at 770 means its a fairly full satin piece, the leaf bodies are solid fill, not just outline. Use cutaway stabiliser here, medium weight, and hoop firm so the straight vein runs dont deviate. Run at mid-speed through the leaf fills to keep the satin columns sitting flat and even.

Stitch count runs from 12,227 at the smallest 2.68-inch size up to 33,208 at the 5.74-inch largest. The density is concentrated in the 2 leaf fills, the orange vein lines on top add fewer stitches by comparison, so the machine rhythm is a long fill followed by shorter detail passes. Nothing unusual in the run sequence, just stay consistent with bobbin tension across the colour change from green to amber.

On cream or natural linen the 2-tone leaf reads almost like a printed fabric block. On dark fabric like navy or charcoal, the green goes very saturated and the amber glows. Either way its a versatile design, it works without context, you dont need text or a secondary element to explain what it is. One customer ordered a set of napkins last october with this on each corner and said the table looked completely put-together with almost no effort.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • autumn tee or long-sleeve shirt chest or sleevePlace the 4-in placement on a natural linen shirt cuff or sleeve for a subtle autumn detail that looks almost printed
  • linen table napkin corner for ThanksgivingStitch the small size on a napkin corner set for a Thanksgiving table that doesnt go full harvest theme but still feels seasonal
  • fall tote bag or farmers market carry bagEmbroider the mid-size on a dark navy canvas tote and the green and amber really pull against the background colour
  • seasonal pillow or cushion in autumn coloursRun the largest size on a rust or cream pillow cover as an october cushion swap in a neutral living room
  • nature-themed school bag or backpack patchIron tearaway under the small version on felt and sew it as a patch onto a school bag for a kid who likes nature
  • framed botanical hoop for a home office wallFrame the 5-inch size in a round hoop on natural linen and hang it in a home office as a minimal seasonal print
  • cardigan or jacket arm patch in OctoberHoop the 3-inch size on a cardigan or jean jacket sleeve for a quiet autumn detail that doesnt read as a full graphic

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
