Its the father checklist and honestly its the most dad thing Ive ever digitised. Big swooping script at the top spells out Father in that thick black brushy lettering, the kind that looks like it was written with a wide calligraphy brush but stitched out in proper satin columns. Below that theres five checkboxes stacked in a column, each one ticked off and each word in its own colour: handsome in red, strong in orange, smart in yellow, funny in green, cool in blue. Every checkbox outline matches its word colour aswell, so the whole thing reads like a lil rainbow down the front.

5 colour changes and 5 stops means your machine swaps thread at each row, so ya do need to be there for em. Smallest size runs about 7,378 stitches at 3 inches wide, the big 7-inch comes in at 18,092. Density is pretty friendly at 478, so its not gonna shred your fabric. Stitch this on a black or charcoal cotton tee and those 6 colours pop off the dark ground something serious.

I made this one last june when a customer wanted something funny but not cheesy, she said most dad designs are either too sappy or too boring. And thats fair. This one lands kinda in the middle. The checklist gimmick gets people every time, I get orders from daughters buying for their handyman dads, mechanics buying it for their crew of dads at the shop, and partners who want a proper fathers day tee that actually makes him laugh.

Use a tearaway stabiliser on woven cotton or linen. Switch to cutaway if youre hooping a fleece or a thick jersey polo because those satin columns on the handsome and strong rows get dense and they need a firmer base. Hoop tight, that tall stacked layout needs the fabric locked down or youll get drift between the colour rows. Pop the small 3-inch on a pocket or a hat panel.
