Loose hand drawn feather outline, just one black thread doing the whole job. Upper barbs lean off to the right with a soft curve, lower barbs split apart with airy gaps between em, and a few stray wisps drift off the spine. Theres no solid fill, no shading anywhere. Reads like a quick ink doodle ripped straight outta a sketchbook.

Wilcom kept this one purely as running stitch. The smallest size runs 1,564 stitches at 3 inches, the biggest tops out at 2,842 over 7 inches wide. Density measures around 100 which is about as light as it gets in machine embroidery. One colour total, zero changes, 27 trims because the path hops between separate barb lines. Five size options, 3 inch through 7 inch wide, scales from a chest pocket motif up to a centred panel piece without losing that airy feel.

I been getting orders on this one from stationery shop owners who want a single sketch motif on linen book sleeves. One customer in march picked up the 4 inch run to use on cream cotton journal covers, she sewed twelve of em in an afternoon and the trim time barely cost her anything. Light density means you can stitch on thinner fabrics that a denser design would chew through, like chambray or muslin.

Pop the file on cream cotton, on flax linen, tan canvas, or muslin. Black thread reads cleanest on those lighter neutrals. Try soft sage or burgundy thread if youd rather skip the high contrast look. Avoid heavy denim, the thin running line gets lost against busy weaves. Use a lightweight tearaway stabiliser, this design dosent need heavy backing. Skip cutaway entirely, its overkill here and bulks the fabric for nothing. Drop your machine pace on the longer barbs, line thickness depends on consistent travel. Ping me if your machine fluffs the trims between segments and ill rework the jump path for ya.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
