Its a christmas tree and its covered in lights. The tree is a clean triangular silhouette in green with a small trunk at the base and a star on top. Lights are done as individual round dots in festive red, canary yellow, bright blue and orange spread across the branches in looping string lines, which gives that old-school outdoor christmas lights look, the big round bulb kind not the LED icicle kind.

Six colours in total, which is where this one gets interesting as a digitising job. Most of the colour changes come from the light dots since youre cycling through the whole holiday palette against the green tree body. Stitch count goes from 5,590 on the smallest size at 3.51 inches up to 13,096 on the 7.51-inch. Five sizes total. Density is 290, pretty light, which means this one stitches fast and lays flat on most fabrics.

I been getting orders from mums making holiday PJs for kids and this one keeps coming back every winter season. The coloured bulb dots are kinda immediately recognisable to kids because it looks like a real decorated tree. Theyve sent photos of it on flannel pyjama tops in the 4-inch size and the green and colour dots pop really well against warm fabric. Text me through the shop chat if you want to know which size works best for kids versus adults.

Pop it on red, dark green, navy, black or white xmas fabric and it works. The multi-colour lights mean the design carries its own festive colour story so it doesnt need the background to do much. Works on cotton flannel, jersey knit, canvas tote, fleece and linen. Avoid very dark jewel tones where that evergreen silhouette disappears.

Light cutaway stabiliser on knit jersey so the bulb circles stay round and dont pull oval. Tearaway on stable cotton or canvas. Keep colour thread changes organised before you hoop because 6 colours on the smaller sizes means the changes come quick. Text me if the dots look misaligned after stitching and Ill rebuild the registration in the file same day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
