Three thick arcs stacked like a boho rainbow, the colours going green on the outside, warm gold in the middle, and red at the centre. At the base where all three arcs land theres a small holly sprig with two bright red berries. Its a compact design, the larger size only reaches 2.67 x 3.51 inches, so its more of a repeat motif or accent than a centerpiece. The smaller version is just 1.15 x 1.51 inches, which is tiny enough for baby bibs and collar patches.

Four colours total with a few thread swaps. I digitised the arcs as thick satin columns so the colour density is solid and rich, not stripey. Stitch count goes from 1,941 for the smaller size up to 5,407 for the larger, so stitching time is fast even on the denser version. Use a tearaway stabiliser on woven cotton and flannel. On knit baby fabric use a cutaway so the satin columns dont pop the backing off over time with washing.

This christmas I had alot of customers texting me to say they were using this one for advent calendar pockets and kids holiday bibs. One customer stitched the small version in a repeating grid pattern across a whole baby blanket and it looked really charming. Text me through the shop if youre doing something like that and want advice on spacing. The colour scheme is classic enough that it doesnt clash with much.

Try it on white or oatmeal cotton for max contrast on those green arcs. Works really well on felt for small ornament patches too. Dont use it on dark forest green fabric or the outer arc disappears completely. Keep the hoop tension even since the thin arc ends can lift if the fabric shifts.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Advent calendar fabric pockets with repeating rainbow motifStitch the 1.15-inch size on 4x4 felt squares and cut round, punch a hole for a ribbon to hang as ornaments.
  • Baby bibs and burp cloths with small-size holly rainbowThe small size fits neatly on bib fronts and the satin arcs wash well with a cutaway stabiliser backing.
  • Kids Christmas pajama collar patches and cuff accentsStitch on cuff bands and collar trim of kids christmas pajamas for a cute coordinated set.
  • Felt Christmas ornament rounds and tree decorationsUse the larger 2.67-inch size centered on 4-inch felt circles for quick tree ornament patches.
  • Holiday gift tags stitched on canvas or cotton squaresStitch on 3x3 cotton squares, add a grommet at top, and thread with twine for hanging gift tags.
  • Stocking toe patches and small accent squares on quiltsThe small size fits on stocking toe panels for a subtle boho accent alongside larger designs.
  • Matching set of christmas mug rugs or small coastersStitch 4 per mug rug on white cotton batting backed with canvas for a holiday coaster set.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
