Sat down with this one after a few requests for a christmas unicorn that wasnt just clip art slapped on fabric. The unicorn faces left, pearl white body with a long rainbow mane that has individual directional strands in pink, lavender, mint, gold and sky blue. Crimson santa hat sitting tilted on the horn with a little ivory pom at the tip. Scattered tiny holiday stars near the hooves. Seven colours. The density is 865 stitches per square centimetre which is the heaviest in this batch, and I was actually suprised how cleanly it sits on a pastel pink jersey tee when you back it properly.

Done in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio so those directional mane strands hold across 5 sizes from 3.51 inches wide up to 7.51. Height runs 3.4 to 7.28 so its close to square at the smaller sizes and gets slightly portrait at the largest. Stitch count goes from 20,337 at the small end to forty-seven thousand at the top, so this is a big file for a kids tee. You need a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser, at least 2oz, and a tear-away topping if youre going onto anything with a surface texture. Stitch order: body satin underlay first, then white body fill, then the mane strands left to right in colour order, then the hat, then stars last.

One customer hooped the 4-inch version on a pastel pink long-sleeve for her daughter last christmas and texted images the next day. She said she was realy pleased with how the rainbow mane came through against the light fabric. Thats the size I'd point people toward for smaller kids sizes because the mane detail stays readable down to about 3.5 inches without the strands merging together. Skip the smallest size on any fabric with a lofted surface like fleece because the horn satin will lose its point.

Stitch the 7-inch version on a white tote bag for a magical holiday gift bag. Add it to a onesie for a baby's first christmas. Best on light-coloured fabric so all 7 thread colours read properly. Use the 3.51-inch size on a pocket for a subtle unicorn detail. Pop it on a pillowcase for a kids bedroom. One color. Done. Well, seven actually.

Dm me if theres any issue with the download and Ill get you sorted.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Pastel kids long-sleeve tees and topsThe 4-inch size fits a standard kids chest panel without crowding the neckline on size 3T-6.
  • Baby onesies for a first ChristmasScale to 3.51 inches for a onesie chest where space is limited but the rainbow mane still reads.
  • White or light-colored tote bags as gift bagsThe pearl white body on a vendor tote bag creates a clean contrast for gift packaging.
  • Kids bedroom pillowcasesStitch the 5-inch feature run on a kids pillowcase for a fun bedroom focal point.
  • Zip-up hoodie front chest for girlsUse the 4-inch on a zip-up left chest for a wearable unicorn detail that works all winter.
  • Iron-on patch blanks for backpacksStitch onto a patch blank and heat-press to a backpack without re-hooping the bag itself.
  • Holiday sweatshirt for toddlersThe 3.51-inch version fits neatly on a toddler sweatshirt chest without overwhelming the garment.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
