Thats the setup, and it works because every element is doing something: the red pops, the brown gives warmth, the white marshmallows read as fluffy without being complicated, and the teal badge with the yellow star gives the design a focal point so it doesnt just look like a plain mug. The pale blue handle highlight is subtle but it stops the whole right side from going flat.
