For the mum who basically runs christmas, this is her design. Mama Claus in festive lettering, the kind of phrase that gets a knowing laugh from anyone who has watched a mother do the whole december operation by herself. The lettering is tall and narrow, christmas script with that holiday warmth to it.
Two colours and about 11,973 stitches at the largest which is only 3.94 inches wide. Its a smaller design by nature of the vertical format but it doesnt need to be big to work. One customer sent me a message saying she made it for her mum on a christmas apron and her mum wore it the entire christmas morning while cooking, which is exactly the right story for this one.
Sizes go from 1.85 inches up to 3.94 inches wide and 3.51 to 7.51 tall, so its always going to be a tall narrow piece. Place it down the front bib of an apron, along a sleeve, or on a pocket where that vertical format actually works in its favour. Satin column lettering so the text sits crisp and raised, nothing muddy or blurry. Skip stretchy jersey fabric, the narrow lettering needs a firm ground underneath it.
Cotton, linen, denim and canvas all stitch this well. Use a tearaway stabiliser on woven fabrics and keep the hoop snug so the letters dont distort. Message me if the download doesnt come through properly and Ill resend it straight away.
