Its a five-pointed star, but not the plain kind. The outline is done in thick black satin that really pops, and inside theres a whole scene: dark green holly leaves packed in tight, a chunky red bow at the top, the words 'Merry Christmas' in looping script running across the middle. Around the outside, snowflake silhouettes float in all directions like theyre actually drifting past. Three colors total, clean and straightforward to set up.
Stitch count runs from 21,253 at the smaller sizes up to 36,763 at the largest, so its got good density and body. I test-ran it on medium-weight woven and the satin borders hold their shape clean. Pop firm tearaway behind knits, or go cutaway if youre stitching onto fleece where stretch is a concern. And skip very dark fabric unless you want to underlay first, the holly disappears against it otherwise.
A customer last christmas ordered a batch of 12 of these for teacher gifts on canvas tote bags. She stitched the 5.5 inch size and said it ran clean without a single registration problem. Stitch it on a pocket for something subtle, or blow it up to the 7.5 inch range to fill a back panel or bag front without looking empty.
