The whole christmas tree is made of dog paw prints, stacked row by row from a single paw at the top to a wide row at the bottom. Its a simple idea that just works visually, the tree shape reads from a normal distance and the paws reveal themselves as you get closer. I digitised this with satin fill across each paw pad and a density of 636, which is on the firmer end and gives the whole tree a solid, clean appearance rather than a fluffy or open look.
One colour, and this is one of those designs where colour choice does a lot of the work. Stitched in forest green on an ivory cotton jumper, it reads as a straightforward christmas tree until your customer leans in. Done in red on a natural linen, it feels more graphic and playful. The stitch count goes from 13164 on the smallest size up to 26077 on the 7.51-inch version, and the five sizes run from 3.51 to 7.51 inches wide with height between 2.55 and 5.46 inches. With density that high, stick to heavy cutaway stabiliser, it holds the paw pads flat and stops the fill from pulling the fabric in.
A pet owner customer ordered this last christmas to put on a holiday sweatshirt for her dog-trainer friend. Email me after purchase if your machine wont read the format you need and Ill swap it out for you same day.
Pair with a matching paw print on a sleeve or pocket for a co-ordinated holiday look. Avoid putting on sheer fabric, the density will show from the back without proper backing. Send a chat if the file gives any trouble and Ill rework it fast. Email me if the punch shows any issues, and Ill repair it fast.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Christmas sweatshirts and jumpers for dog loversCentre it on a sweatshirt chest in forest green for a holiday look that reads as a tree and a dog tribute at once; I get messages every December.
- Holiday pet bandanas and dog accessoriesBandana triangle corner for the 3.5 build makes a festive dog accessory that holds up through wear; firm cutaway keeps the dense fill stable under the knit.
- Christmas gifts for dog trainers and groomersWorks well as a personalised Christmas gift on a canvas tote or apron for a dog trainer or groomer; the concept lands even without explanation.
- Seasonal tote bags for pet ownersPut the mid 5-inch on a large tote in red thread for a holiday shopping bag with personality; natural canvas base makes the red really pop.
- Holiday quilting projects with pet themesCut stitched blocks on cotton and use as quilt squares in a pet-themed holiday lap quilt; the paw-stack shape looks deliberate in a grid layout.
- Festive kitchen towels with a dog-lover themeUse the compact 3.5-in face on kitchen towel corner for a subtle holiday dog reference; tearaway backing keeps cotton towel fabric flat after pressing.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
