So this little dragon is the cute kind not the scary kind. He stands up tall on tiny clawed feet, round belly, big surprised eyes and two tiny horns on top. And a curly tail wrapping behind him. The flame puffing out his mouth is small and friendly looking, more storybook than fierce. Honestly its more kid party than dungeon.
The body is done in two greens. Kelly green for the back and outer shape, then a lighter lime green panel for the belly scales which gives a nice contrast without going busy. Soft pink cheek dots make him look a lil shy. Black outline holds the whole shape together. Theres 8 colours total counting the flame oranges and the yellow tongue. And honestly the colour changes arent bad to manage.
I drew this one with kids embroidery in mind. Last week a customer ordered the small size for her sons reading pouch and another one wanted the bigger size for a birthday party tshirt run. Its nice when one file works both ways.
Comes in 9 sizes which is alot of options for one design. Smallest is 1.8 inch wide and the largest goes up to 7.51 inch tall. Stitch count runs 13.7k to 31.2k so the bigger versions need abit more thread loading. Sits well on cotton tee, cotton fleece, lightweight denim, canvas tote.
Back any cotton tee with a cutaway stabiliser since the belly fill section gets dense. Hoop the fabric tight. Avoid stretchy mesh or thin chiffon, the green fill pulls too hard for those and you dont wanna fight that. Holler at me if anything goes funny with the file, ill sort it out same day.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids hoodie back panel dragonNavy kids hoodie back at a bigger size, the lime underbelly and orange flame pop against the dark fabric, cutaway stabiliser behind fleece.
- Toddler denim jacket sleeve designToddler denim jacket sleeve, the whole chibi design is compact enough to fit a sleeve panel without crowding the arm.
- School backpack flap embroiderySchool backpack flap where kids can point at it and say thats mine, tearaway holds fine on stiff canvas.
- Boys bedroom pillow center motifHalloween costume patch on felt, the cartoon dragon reads fun rather than scary and no stabiliser is needed on thick felt.
- Halloween costume fabric patchCanvas lunch bag front, the bright flame and teal wings travel really well on natural canvas without losing punch.
- Canvas lunch bag front panelKids bedroom wall hoop, stitch on muslin and mount in a round wooden frame, the eye highlights give the dragon a cheeky alive look.
- Fantasy themed wall hoop artBoys birthday gift bag panel, stitch the medium size and the dragon becomes part of the wrapping presentation.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
