Sketched this as close to the classic halloween ghost as I could get, the full sheet drape, the little feet poking out at the bottom, the calm oval eyes that dont look scary so much as they look mildly curious. Thats the shape everyone pictures when they think halloween ghost. Single colour, all outline work, 1 colour stop means you never have to mess with a colour change mid-hoop.

At a density of 143 this is deliberately light so it doesnt weigh down fine cotton or linen. 5 sizes from 2 inches to 6 inches, stitch counts from 1,802 up to 4,635, genuinely low for a 6-inch piece. Use a lightweight tearaway on woven cotton and a light cutaway on jersey. Run the bobbin thread in white and your top thread in black for the cleanest outline. One customer grabbed napkins for halloween dinner table last october, ran a batch of 8 in an afternoon, the low stitch count makes that very doable. Email me if you need a version without the feet detail and Ill see what I can do.

Stitch the 4-in build on napkins and tea towels. Pop the 6-inch on a pillowcase front for an october bedroom swap. Use the 2-inch on fabric gift tags cut from natural cotton. Add a second smaller ghost at the 2-inch beside it if you want a pair rather than a single figure. Avoid placing directly on very fluffy terry cloth without a topping or the outline blurs.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween dinner napkins and table linensThe single-colour outline design repeats beautifully as a border pattern across a set of halloween dinner napkins
  • Quilting projects and halloween quilt squaresThe clean outline style blends perfectly with other quilt motifs without adding visual noise to the block
  • White cotton t-shirts and plain tote bagsAt 3 or 4 inches the ghost sits well centred on a plain white cotton tee for a low-key halloween look
  • Halloween pillowcases and bedding accentsThe full 6-inch size works on a pillowcase front for a simple halloween bedding swap in october
  • Fabric gift wrap and reusable gift bagsStitch it on a square of natural cotton and use it as reusable halloween gift wrapping for small presents
  • Embroidery hoop wall art on natural linenHooped in a 5-inch round frame on natural linen this makes a calm minimal wall ornament

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
